BEST 5 CHEAP PHONE

Doro PhoneEasy 345

The Doro PhoneEasy 345 has a bright legible display, a large display font, a roomy keypad with big keys, a flashlight, text messaging, Bluetooth, and an FM radio. It has great call quality as well. The Doro PhoneEasy345 has a low-resolution display and a rather staid design.  The Doro PhoneEasy 345 is an easy-to-use and affordable choice for seniors, and it boasts a few unexpected goodies, too.

Verizon Wireless Escapade

The Verizon Wireless Escapade is slim and lightweight, has a 2-megapixel camera, a nice display, GPS, Bluetooth, and a dual-mode CDMA/quad-band GSM chipset. The Verizon Wireless Escapade has very flat keys, especially with the navigation array.  The Verizon Wireless Escapade is ideal for globe-trotting Verizon customers who just want a simple camera phone.

Samsung Gravity 2 SGH-T469

The Samsung Gravity 2 is thinner than its predecessor, plus it features several upgrades, notably 3G support, a 2.0-megapixel camera, GPS, and a full HTML browser. It has pretty good quality and is quite affordable. The Samsung Gravity 2 has rather tiny navigation keys, and the streaming video quality could be a bit better. The Samsung Gravity 2 offers a lot of features for a very low price, making it a great deal for T-Mobile customers.

BlackBerry Bold 9700

The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 boasts a sleeker design that includes an optical trackpad, a 3.5mm headphone jack, and a brilliant display. The smartphone is 3G capable and offers Wi-Fi with UMA support, Bluetooth, and GPS. It also gets a faster processor and updates to BlackBerry OS 5.0.  The BlackBerry browser doesn't compare to the competition. The handset's compact size results in a smaller display and keyboard, but they aren't deal-breakers. The RIM BlackBerry Bold 9700 brings T-Mobile its first 3G BlackBerry and improves on its predecessor with a sleeker design and more power. We only wish it had a better browser to complete the package.

Samsung SGH-a107 GoPhone

The Samsung a107 is a lightweight and easy-to-use basic phone. It's affordable as well. The Samsung a107 is missing an external display as well as Bluetooth. The Samsung a107 is missing an external display as well as Bluetooth. The Samsung SGH-a107 makes for a decent entry-level phone for the prepaid crowd, but you can get a better device elsewhere for cheaper.

Latest Cell Phone Reviews

Samsung Galaxy SIII

The 4.8-inch 720p display looks great -- everything appears sharp, fonts were crisp, and colors were vibrant. Samsung was not willing to tell me early if the display uses a RGB matrix display (three subpixels per pixel) or a PenTile (two subpixels per pixel) one. I suspect it's the latter because of the name of the display -- it lacks the "Plus" at end, which denotes the RGB matrix version. It's likely the S III uses the same display found on the Galaxy Note, but for a slightly smaller panel

LG Extravert

The LG Extravert has a comfortable keyboard, Android-like customization options for the homescreen, and quirky extras like a graphing and eco-calculator. The Extravert’s unresponsive screen is irritating, its smooth backing makes it difficult to grip, and there’s no designated call button.
Aside from a few design flaws and a poor touchscreen, the LG Extravert is a solid feature phone that can execute basic tasks reliably and has good call quality.

National Geographic Talk Abroad Lite

The National Geographic Talk Abroad Lite has space for two SIM cards, an FM radio, a flashlight, and 24-hour customer support. Cheap, toylike construction and missing volume controls are but two downsides. The Talk Abroad service's complicated dialing procedure takes some getting used to.

Best camera phones

iPhone 4s

The iPhone 4S isn't the king of cell phones, but it's part of the royal family nonetheless. Even without 4G and a giant screen, this phone's smart(ass) voice assistant, Siri, the benefits of iOS 5, and its spectacular camera make it a top choice for anyone ready to upgrade.

HTC Vivid

The HTC Vivid has a nice, large screen, an excellent camera, and great specs all around. It supports 4G LTE as well. Mediocre call quality on the Vivid and a cheap plastic chassis dampen the experience. The battery obstructs access to the microSD card.

Samsung Galaxy SII Skyrocket

The Samsung Galaxy S II Skyrocket has a beautiful 4.5-inch Super AMOLED Plus display along with a dual-core 1.5GHz processor, an NFC chip, and support for AT&T's LTE network. It ships with Android 2.3 Gingerbread, and has an 8-megapixel camera with 1080p HD video capture and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera.  AT&T's LTE network is only available in a few cities at the time of the Skyrocket's launch, it has a somewhat cheap, plastic feel, and you can't remove bloatware.

HTC Amaze 4G

The HTC Amaze 4G features a premium chassis, a sharp Super LCD touch screen, and a dual-core processor. It's equipped with an 8-megapixel camera with a number of advanced shooting modes and settings. T-Mobile's HSPA+ 42 speeds were impressive. The smartphone is heavy and expensive. The camera still struggled in low-light environments.

T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide

The T-Mobile MyTouch 4G Slide is a speedy 4G, dual-core smartphone with some great multimedia features. The keyboard is a little flat on the MyTouch 4G Slide, and while good, the camera tools don't live up to their mind-blowing promise.
